       Held at Wandin Park Equestrian Centre at the outskirts of Melbourne, the Victorian 4WD Show attracted more than 50,000 visitors annually to its 200 outdoors exhibitors from a wide range of off-road products and services.        Among the public demonstrations were correct techniques in off-road recovery, vehicle articulation and a 4x4 adventure circuit for both standard and modified vehicles. For those who are new to 4x4, it was a great time to learn at first hand how to handle various 4WD situations like winching, specific driving techniques like ditch crossing, ridge crossing, the public can also ride in the 4x4s with the experienced drivers. While the adults are duly catered to, the children are not forgotten by the organizers, thus they also have various children activities like free train rides, jumping castles, wall climbing, clown entertainment and learning about Australian wildlife.

This is definitely the pace to be in touch with everything in off-roading. Costs are kept to a minimum including the rental of the exhibition space since it’s held outdoors and is only for one day. It is definitely a very cost effective way to show off one’s products and services to a multitude of potential customers. For those with a penchant for off-road, the Victorian 4WD Show is a must- see, head for Melbourne every third week of Feb, it’s summer time, down under.
