I'm so sorry that my "Farang's" laptop is not available to type down in Thai. Anyway this is all I 've got.
I have only a small little chance to plug in the Chelesea Parker 's PTO onto my T-18 grany trany. It is obviously found that the PTO is matching the T-18 properly. The printed contact indicated a proper enguagement of both in between. (sorry that I didn't take a picture). So, it means that the PTO is what we're looking for. I 'm gonna run it through with the engine started and see how it goes. The shifter's linlkage is now totally broken as I pushed it a little harder to make it engauged / disengauged on a trail. It was previously partially damaged anyhow. I will have to rebuid the new & strong one, which is not a big deal. That's it for the PTO, Just get it installed permanently and find a hydraulic pump for these grears.
With a reasonable deal, I 've already got a manual Toyota's big pole transmisson matching my V-8, 1UZ-FE. It was previously hooked up with 1 KZ TE diesel engine. It works pretty good with the 35" tyres. I did not check the axle ratio of that truck yet, but I'm pretty damn sure that I can't use 2.73 axle ratios from the existing CJ-7's Dana-30/AMC-20. It could probably at least 4.1. This transmission is originally from Japan as 4WD shifting can be done using an electric motor attached on the transfer case. The ratios as per the manufacturer's spec is as following:
1st gear : 4.313
2nd gear: 2.330
3rd gear : 1.436
4th gear : 1.0
5th overdrive : 0.838
Reverse : 4.220
The custom made bell housing and Fly whell, etc have been ordered from Sahasampan engr. Basically, I've got everything I need, just put it all together and ready to go.
Will keep in touch.
