Henrik Stenson holed his eighth birdie to level the 18th in a superb eight-under-par bogey-less round to go in four holes up over Anders Hansen.
Soren Hansen continues his revival with a birdie four at the 18th to go in just three down against in-form American Hunter Mahan.
And Stenson does it again, winning the 17th to extend his lead to four.

Is Cabrera on the way back again? The US Open champion takes the 11th to lead Casey by one again - in a match that has already seen six birdies and an eagle.
After several minutes of results rolling in as "all square", Stenson wins the seventh to go one up over Hansen.
But Ernie does regain the lead with a par three on the fifth.
No - it was just a bit of speculation - it's all square as Ernie looks for a two on the fifth...
Sorry - a bit of confusion here as there is talk that Ernie toook the fourth and should be two up - we'll clarify this asap...
Casey makes it three in a row on the eighth to lie all square, and Romero is all square with Ernie after a fourth-hole birdie.
Hunter marches on, taking the sixth to go two up - while youngster Romero takes the sixth from Ernie to cut the South African's lead to one.
Casey looks to have turned it round as he takes the seventh to lie just one behind the quick-starting Cabrera; Romero won the third after Els bogeyed to reduce the Big Easy's lead to one.
Anders follows this up by almost hitting a hole-in-one on the fifth - but the damp early morning green ensures the ball stays on the lip and refuses to drop in.
Anders Hansen takes the fourth to level his tie with Stenson - while Casey takes the sixth to cut the deficit to two holes behind Cabrera to halt the in-form Argentinian's charge.
Mahan - who was a 25-1 outside shot before the tournament - takes the fourth to go one up over Soren Hansen.
Another birdie by Els on the second sees him go two up (in five shots) - as Cabrera goes three up over defending champion Casey after another birdie.
Ernie Els birdies with a 40-foot putt at the first to go one up in the fourth match; meanwhile, Cabrera is now two up against Casey (after a birdie and an eagle), all square after three for Mahan and Soren Hansen, while eponymous Dane Anders is one up over Stenson.
Hansen and Stenson both hit pars on the first to finish it all square as we await the start of match four.

Fasth claws back the 25th to make his intriguing tussle with Romero all square, while Soren Hansen takes the 29th go three clear of Sabbatini and Anders Hansen claims the 28th to lead an out-of-sorts Padraig by four. And Kelly takes the 33rd to reduce Casey's lead to two as the champion's lead hangs in the balance!

Mahan again thwarts Rose at the 28th to regain a three-hole lead, but is there hope for Monty as he pulls back the 23rd to cut the lead to six?
Youngster Romero takes the 23rd to go all square with Fasth - while Cabrera goes five up after 29 over Goosen and looks set to play the winner between current leader Casey and Kelly - while Padraig continues his comeback.
It's seven up for Ernie as an out-of-sorts Monty's challenge is seriously dented.
Andres Romero claims the 22nd hole - his first win in the second round of 18 - to go just one behind Fasth; and Padraig starts to rally, taking the 25th to cut Anders' advantage to three.
Rose is rising as he pulls back the 26th off Mahan to lie just two behind with ten, in theory to play; but Monty is slipping away, now six adrift as six-time winner Ernie takes the 21st. And Jerry Kelly takes the 29th! Casey's lead is cut to just two...
And Kelly does it again, winning the 28th to reduce Casey's lead to three - is the defending champion losing his edge? Harrington also conceded the 24th to Anders Hansen as the Open Champion looks out-of-form and goes four behind.
Undaunted, Kelly fights back to take the 27th but Casey is still four in front; Sabbatini and Els also won holes to re-establish respective one- and five-hole leads.
Rose again misses from four feet to see the 24th levelled and Mahan's three-hole lead undented as the Englishman's hopes seem to be fading.
Monty makes a promising start to the second half of his opening round by taking the 19th to pull Els' lead back to four - while Cabrera re-establishes his four-hole advantage over Goosen after 26.
Casey is showing the form of the defending champion, going five clear at the 26 over Kelly - a similar score Els has over Monty, as the final pair start their second 18 holes. Harrington pulls back the deficit to two at the 21st - while Woody Austin, once five holes adrift, is now just one behind Stenson after 20.
However, it's better news for Padraig as he sinks a short-range putt to take the 21st and reduce Anders Hansen's lead to two.
It gets worse for Rose as Mahan extends his lead to three at the 22nd.
Justin Rose - who has been behind since the first hole - missed a sitter at the 22nd to see the hole halved and remain two behind Mahan.
After five halved, Casey takes the 24th for a four-hole lead while Soren Hansen wins his second straight at the 21st to go all square with Sabbatini - the first of these for a couple of hours!
Goosen fights back with a birdie two to take the 23rd hole to reduce the superb Cabrera's lead to three. The sun is now shining at Wentworth - and if the forecast is as good as some of the golf, it will be a grand weekend.
Cabrera wins the 22nd to go four holes up over Goosen, Rose bogeyed the 21st to see Mahan go two clear and Anders Hansen extends his lead over Harrington to three on the par-four 19th.
Soren Hansen took the 20th in his nip-and-tuck encounter to reduce Sabbatini's lead to one, while Casey and Kelly have halved all five of their post-lunch holes as Casey remains three up.
Rory Sabbatini took the 19th for a two-hole lead over Soren Hansen, while Harrington waits to tee-off for the second time against Anders Hansen in the fog-delayed first day at Wentworth.
Ernie Els holed a six-foot putt at the 18th to take a commanding five-hole lead over Colin Montgomerie to conclude the half-way stage of the first round of the 2007 HSBC World Match Play.
Romero missed a 20-foot putt by inches as Fasth took the 18th for a two-shot lead at the half-way stage.
Rose parred the 19th hole to reduce Mahan's lead to one as the Englishman finds his form.
Casey remains three up over Kelly as the opening pair complete three holes of the second 18, as Cabrera extends his lead over Goosen to three, by taking the 20th, and Rose and Mahan tackle the first again.
Woody wins the 18th to rescue his round and finish two behind Henrik Stenson. But Els took the 17th to regain a four-hole advantage over Monty as Fasth and Romero walk to the 18th.
Woody Austin hits his second shot on the 18th, right into the hospitality suites - but he gets a free drop! And there was also good news for Romero as he won the 16th to lie just one hole behind Fasth - and Monty took the 16th to pull Els' lead back to three.
Sabbatini "shanks" his second shot at the 18th but finishes with a fortunate lie and S Hansen also pulled back a wayward tee-shot as both players took five shots but halved the hole as Sabbatini finished one up. Harrington lost the 16th to go three down but won the 17th to reduce the lead, while Stenson regained his lead of four - matched by Els over Monty. Casey and Kelly resume their battle.
After a 60-foot second-shot putt, Rose holes out for a birdie to win the 18th and lie just two behind Mahan at lunch.
Is this the great Woody comeback? Austin wins the 15th to reduce Stenson's lead to three as Sabbatini keeps his one-hole lead after halving the 17th with Soren Hansen.
Casey and Kelly will resume their match at 14.15 today.
Anders H takes the 15th to regain his two-hole lead over Harrington, but there's some better news for Austin as he claims the 14th - but is still four adrift of in-form Stenson.
US Open champion Cabrera takes a two-hole lead into the break as he halves the 18th with Goosen, in a tightly fought encounter. But Englishman Rose walks to the last hole three down, after Mahan claimed the 16th and 17th.
Casey and Kelly halve the final hole as the defending champion takes a three-hole lead at the half-way stage; Els sinks a 12-foot putt to lead Monty be three after 12; Cabrera wins the 16th and 17th for a two-hole lead over Goosen, but the player of the morning is Stenson, who takes a commanding five-hole lead over Austin after 13.
Monty pulls a hole back at the 11th, as Anders H goes one up over Padraig after 13 and Cabrera again leads Goosen with two holes left to play of the first 18.
Fasth sinks a superb 35-foot putt at the 10th to go three up over Romero - but Monty missed the chance to pull a hole back and sink his third birdie on three par three holes, as he and Els halve the ninth - as Rose takes the 13th to lie all square with Mahan.
Casey is now three up with three to play as their match approaches the halfway stage, while Fasth regains his two-hole lead by taking the ninth - but there's a spot of trouble for Monty as he goes three down after nine against Els.
As we were contemplating the prospect of a quarter-final between Casey and eighth seed Goosen, Cabrera takes the 14th to go all square with the South African - while Stenson goes four up after ten against Austin.
Casey regains his form and goes two-up over battling American Kelly - with only four left to play.
Rose did rise but Hunter's on the hunt again as he takes the 11th to go one up - but Stenson shines after nine to go three up over Woody. The puns are flowing as the sun shines again at Wentworth...

Meanwhile, Retief Goosen opened against Angel Cabrera...
