The oxygen sensor must work properly in order to comply with emission limits and reduce fuel consumption. This means it should be checked every 30,000 km and be replaced when the recommended replace interval is reached.

Unheated: Every 50,000 km / Every 80,000 km
Heated 1st generation: Every 100,000 km
Heated 2nd generation: Every 160,000 km
Planar sensors: Every 160,000 km
